Air Energy Limited is a Compressed Air Sales, Installation and Service Specialist based in Hertford.

We are looking for a Trainee Stores Assistant to join and progress within our team. The successful candidate will develop and learn many skills with us and should you be the successful applicant, we look forward to bringing you into our team and helping you develop.
This position would suit a School Leaver with a mature attitude to the job, who is capable of taking responsibility and using their own initiative. Applicants must be reliable, organised and hardworking team players with strong literacy, numeracy and computer skills..
Duties Include:
· Booking in and despatching goods to a wide range of customers Worldwide, including both paperwork and physical organization of goods.
· Operate and handle equipment safely as required for your role e.g. Fork Lift, Pallet Truck and other tools where applicable. This role also includes manual handling.
· Assist in the Processing of sales orders for customers and purchase orders with our suppliers.
· Maintaining stores organization and controlling stock levels standards.
· Implementing Processes to improve areas of the business.
- Other ad hoc duties.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
· C (4/5) or above in Math's and English GCSE
· Residence within 20 miles of SG13 7UB
· A can-do attitude and drive to succeed.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
· Good computer skills, competent in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
The person:
The right person needs to be enthusiastic, confident, approachable and hardworking. Previous retail, in-store or sales experience is not essential but would be advantageous.
The position:
Job Type: This is a full-time role.
Working hours: 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
Work Location: In person, SG13 7UB.
Holiday entitlement: 20 days holiday year one increasing to 25 in year two.

Salary: £16 to £21k dependant on candidate, with Fixed salary increases according to progress.

Candidates must be self-motivated, organized, have strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail sales experience required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Job Duties:
·Provide customer with accurate product information, answer customer questions and provide solutions for any issues with product or service.
·Meet sales goals by performing personal sales calls, demonstrating products, serving refreshments and using special equipment.
·Clean and restock display area, maintain display inventory, clean windows, carry bags of merchandise and prepare for the next day.
·Maintain product knowledge by reading store magazines, keeping abreast of new products and services, completing online store learning activities and reporting any product or service concerns or issues to management.
·Operate cash register and other merchandising equipment as needed.
·Follow all company policies and procedures set forth in writing and verbally.
·Other duties as assigned.
