This is an exciting opportunity to work within our phase 1 team (Nursery, Reception and Year 1) supporting children and teachers in class and also with small group interventions. We are looking for full time, permanent, Teaching Assistants for vacancies in both Reception and year 1 classes.

Bankside is a large and thriving 3 form-entry Primary School in Harehills. Ofsted say:

The successful candidate must:
  • Have a secure understanding of child development to support learning
  • Be committed to inclusive practices
  • Be able to work collaboratively as a team member
  • Be able to support children with appropriate interventions that have a positive impact on learning
  • Have high expectations of behaviour and achievement
  • be able to work under guidance of the teacher with small groups or whole classes
  • Be first aid trained, or if not, prepared to be attend the appropriate training and administer first aid as required
