The Permanent Pass Office Assistant is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure working environment through the implementation of the RNAS Culdrose access control policy.

Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose delivers the UK’s two highest defence priorities: assuring the nuclear deterrent and protection of the nation’s aircraft carriers. An operational Air Station, Culdrose has a workforce of more than 3000 personnel that are all directly or indirectly involved in generating or supporting the naval air squadrons and their personnel.

The position is Part-Time; advertised at 20 hours per week, with the majority of that time requiring on site attendance to meet the business need.

Job description

Use and maintain the RNAS Culdrose Access Control IT System for personnel based at RNAS Culdrose.

Issue passes in accordance with the access control policy and maintain the associated paperwork

Provide advice and guidance on the access control policy for RNAS Culdrose to all necessary personnel.

Engage with relevant personnel on security policy.

Carry out any other administrative tasks commensurate with the grade as directed by line management

Person specification

We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, and used to working collaboratively within a team to join us at RNAS Culdrose.

You will possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in your use of IT to carry out administrative tasks.

External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
